TANMIA

From career counseling to supporting small investment enterprises through self-employment projects for national human resources, TANMIA has been in the forefront of meeting national development needs. As a specialized institution with a well-defined task of enhancing effective participation and performance of UAE Nationals in the market, we will play an active role in Careers UAE 2010 Exhibition.

TANMIA will offer participating companies a variety of free services including:

• Providing a comprehensive database on National job seekers
• Expert advice on the latest Emiratisation issues and approaches
• The opportunity to work closely with TANMIA through networks, joint ventures and partnerships

Emirates National Development Programme

The Emirates Nationals Development Programme has been launched by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The objective of the Programme is to integrate young UAE Nationals into the workforce that is currently engaged in building UAE’s future. It will offer them an opportunity to prove their competence, particularly in the private sector.

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT)

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is the largest higher educational institution in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Established in 1988, HCT provides unmatched quality in education in an exciting, challenging and state of the art environment. Nearly 17,000 UAE National students attend classes which are located in 16 men’s and women’s campuses across the Emirates.

The HCT provides post-secondary programs in:

• Applied Communications
• Business
• Education
• Engineering
• Health Sciences
• Information Technology

The language of instruction is English and programs are provided to a Western standard of education.

The Higher Colleges of Technology are represented at the Careers UAE 2009 exhibition, collaborating with participating organizations and companies to further the cause of national development.

Zayed University

Zayed University was established in 1998 by the federal government of the United Arab Emirates to educate UAE national women. The University has campuses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai led by a single administration. In addition to offering a pre-academic program for English language (Academic Bridge Program) and a foundation program ( Colloquy on Integrated Learning) that prepares students for success in an academic field of their choice. The University also offers bachelor programs in different fields of Arts and Sciences, Business Sciences, Communication and Media Sciences, Education and Information Technology.

Zayed University is accepting applications from female undergraduate candidates of all nationalities. The University is also accepting applications from male undergraduate candidates beginning with the fall 2009 semester.

In partnership with prestigious international universities, graduate programs are offered in business administration, educational leadership, health care administration, finance, information and cyber security, innovation and entrepreneurship, international business, public administration, special education, and tourism communication to prepare participants for senior leadership roles. Graduate programs are tailored to the needs of professionals wishing to complete a top-quality academic program without interrupting their personal and professional lives – weekend classes or modular weeks of study are therefore the norm. Admission to graduate programs is open to males and females of all nationalities.

Zayed University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and graduate programs are approved by the U.A.E. Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
