Gulf Energy Maritime (GEM), encouraging competent Nationals to take up employment in the Shipping fields

Sailing and sea faring are core activities and an old tradition of the people of UAE. One of Gulf Energy Maritime key obligation to play a crucial role in support and sourcing of young UAE Nationals Graduates to the trade of their fore fathers namely the Shipping Industry. GEM constantly strives to fulfill the UAE Government's and its leader's initiative on the importance of employment of Nationals (Emaritization).

Our aspirations are positioned in encouraging competent Nationals to take up employment with the prospect of growth and advancement in the Shipping fields. In this context, it is therefore, a policy of the Gulf Energy Maritime that priority in employment will be given to nationals provided they are in possession of the minimum skills, knowledge and aptitude for the jobs. The employment of nationals with disabilities will be positively encouraged, provided they are able to do the job to the required standards. Furthermore, a comprehensive Training Strategy is in place that takes a long-term view of what skills, knowledge & levels of competence our national employees' needs.
